hey guys i just bought a 67 mustang coupe hard top. it was a 6 cyl but the guy that had it before me did the 4 lug to 5 lug swap and the 6cyl to the 8 cyl. it now has a 289 out of a 67 fast back. and has also been re built and has less than 15k miles on it. it also has a C4 trany and a eddle brock 600 cfm 2 bbl carb and a mild street grind cam, and a weiland intake. but for some reason the car just seems a little slow to have those mods.. even though they arent huge power adders. but it just sems a little slow to have that done to it. any oe h ave any suggestion on what the problem could be? and any idea on the HP i am running with that engine. i am alos have a little trouble tuning the carb... if it idles for a long period of time it flods itself a little and dies if i give it a little bit of gas and then let off... or if i get on it hard and slow down hard. but when i bought the car i drove it 500 miles home. with tout a problem it only seems to do this in around town driving. but any help would be nice. oor help with the carb. ive been told it might be runnign to rich and thats why its haveing the pwoer loss becasue it is flooding the car. but i know its running rich i can smell it a little.
