Default tranny swaps

ok,i have decided to hold off on exhaust for now and just keep true dual. since i am swapping in a 9 inch rear, i could either, A. get my tranny worked on at the tranny place near me, or B. get a manual transmission. and i really want a manual, and right now i hav an auto C-4. i hear the t-5 is a really good 6 speed, and i was looking them up, now would a t-5 from a 5.0 work well with my 351? i know i need a clutch assembly too. is there any other good manual transmissions i could consider other then the T-5?

The T5 is a 5-speed, the Tremec T56 is the six speed used in the late model mustang cobras.
