ORIGINAL: espskillz

hey well thanks for your opnions i think imma keep lookin at sum pictures untill i fall in love with the way someone has done up their car then decide how i want mine to look... but another thing . dosnt a car that is all original sell for alot more than a car that has been modified by someone?
It depends on who is buying it, but generally a clean original Mustang without mods will sell for more money. (Profit) The originality aspect comes into play here. Not that a restomod is not a good car, and has lots of power and all the new bells and whistles, but with classic Mustangs, originality plays a very important part. Younger buyers generally go for the restomod Mustangs, and older buyers generally are looking for originality. Remember that a restomod has a ton of money poured into it, so the margin of profit will be less than an original restored one.

From the prices I have seen as long as its done well and tastefully the prices remain pretty close for original and resto. Just dont get too carried away with the mods. I am just going for an occasional cruiser, weekend fun car with a little extra power. Have some late model seats for comfort and 351w for the extra power, the rest is just going to be make it look close to original and make it safe and reliable, nothing makes a saturday cruise worse than a breakdown or even worse a carsh.

I only know the value of my 70 Mach1 for insurance purposes. My heirs will be the ones who make money on it. Heres the deal. Everywhere I go in my classic, people point, stop, and wave. I get thumbs ups from everyone. Even the GM/Dodge owners acknowledge my ride. And now with my new 06 GT I find people doing the same thing. I've met alot of interesting and terrific people through my car. Some people look for transportation, and others want to be transported! Keep the car!

I say make it your own. I agree with the post above, I won't cut the dash, but everything else is free game! Here is a picture of mine.
