Default steel braided Hoses

Anyone know a place where i can find steel braided hoses for a 1967 mustang?

something to give the engine bay some pizazz.

I've been looking all over and am resorting to buying steel braided hose covers....

Thanks for the help guys....

For a street driven car, the only real reason for steel braided hoses is to look good, so why not go for the braid covers. I've used them on my radiator top hose, heater hoses, vacuum hoses, and fuel hose, and the results look pretty good.
They are tricky to put on though, especially coz the kit I bought had them rolled up, so they were flat when you unrolled them. I found the beast way was to get a piece of round wood/dowl, about the same diameter as the hose, and make the end nice and streamlined, like a bullet. This can then be pushed through the braid to bring it back to a round shape, and "bunch it up. Then its just a metter of taking the rubber hose you want to cover, and sliding the bunched up braid over it, slowly working it, and expanding it with your fingers so that it covers the rubber hose evenly. I recommend practicing on some spare fuel hose or something before you do the actual engine hoses. It you do it right, it looks great, if you do a mesy job, you may as well scrap the whole lot, because it looks very very bad. The end pieces fit over you existing hose clamps, but I would recommend buying nice new clamps. (you know they will do up tight)

Another cheap option to intall the braided hose cover is to wad up a piece of newspaper into a ball, and tape it into the end of the hose with masking tape. Slide the cover over the hose, then remove the tape and wadded up piece of newpaper.
Works quick and easy for me.

I've been using the covers for nearly seven years now and really like the looks. I use a wood broom handle or paint roller extention handle to spread them out. Use black or grey electrical tape on the ends to keep the fraying down and to save your finger tips from damage.

Spectre now makes the real stainless steel hose braid. It was in a kit also that does most of the hoses in the engine compartment. It is a lot better the fake stuff they used to have. It was like 50 bucks at the parts store I saw it in.

Seen them on ebay for less than $30 shipping for the kit - any experience with ebay ones. Thinking about buying and trying out.
