Default 1966 Coupe?

Hi, Im trying to figure out if my neigboors 66 Mustang Coupe is worth the price he's offering. Its a straight six and has 88,456 miles on it, It runs great. It has 3 coats of paint on it and there is no rust, but it could use another paint job. The interior of the car is completley redone and looks beautiful, all it needs is working speakers. Hes asking $5,000 for it, anything would help thanks.

Sounds like a deal except if you plan on swapping out the I6 then just buy a V8 car from the start. Other than that, some pictures would be nice.

Thanks and do you think a power disc brake conversion is worth it?

yeah, 5K for a 66 ain't bad. i got the one in my sig for 1K. it had the front end on it and it ran well. it does have a bit of rust and needs some TLC bad, but it's my diamond in the rough. have you crawled around under the car to check for under carrage rust? i would definatly go for it and look in the FAQ's page at the top of the classics main page and there's a link or two for the disc conversions. personally, even with the I6, i would go with a full 4 wheel disc, but the front conversion is still plenty fine.

Dont buy it. I paid $2000 for my coupe, and it's a V8, and it was in the same or better condition then what you just mentioned. You will buy that I6 and in a few weeks, will be on here, asking how to swap to a V8 because you want more power. It happens everyday. Look around, and you'll find a nice 66 coupe with a 289 for the same price. TRUST ME

you do have a good point, but if the body's as straight as he says it is, it's a deal. i may end up spending double that to get my body work done and that would be me doing alot of the work myself. even if he ends up ripping out that I6 he still may have a very clean car to start with.

size it down to 400 or less kb's. your other option would be to host it thru someone and use the image button to link it in.
