good luck finding a GT-E

i would kill to have a 427 Cougar, but I'd settle for a 428 CJ (Cougar-Jet..haha)

Little bit of facts on the cougar (67-68):

3" longer wheelbase than a mustang. this was done for more legroom.

There is no such thing as a 6-cylinder cougar

It was the ONLY factory Ford ponycar that could be had with the almighty 427

69-70:

no such thing as an 8" equipped Cougar (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

^ please say your joking about that pic. You cant really tell with Clu7ch [&:]
Anyway...What a cool car! When I have the money someday I'll own a cougar, but it'll be a race car
nope! i love the 4 door landau t-bird. i love the grille with the flip up headlights and the huge t-bird in the middle.

and i really love the 63 vert. the lines on the car are beautiful. not much to the aerodynamic standards of today, but the lines are way nicer IMO.

oh, by the way, i know someone with a 94 cougar 3.8L with some electrical probs. she's getting rid of it, no title. perfect canidate for a race car.

cougars wernt the same once they were changed to FWD in 1974.

thunderbirds wernt the same when they changed the look, all the way till the last style, then it was cancelled.

the first years are always the best!

Clu7ch,

I am with you on the 67 Bird with the suicide doors. My uncle had one...purchased it new in 67. I thought that was one of the coolest 4-door cars made.

I am partial to the 64 Birds (65 as well).

yeah, they are beautiful. i found one in east bumbleville penn. a while back, decent shape, slightly faded paint, no rust, clean int, 390ci. guy wanted like 4500 for it.

oh, by the way fordboy, i hope the 357 is your birth/year cause last i checked it was a chebby motor

no, maybe i'm wrong, but i thought they weren't FWD till the last econobox version came out. the one that was partially designed by peugot(sp) or something like that. i know the fox and mn-12 body styles were RWD.

I had a '70 Cougar at one time with the 351-4V Windsor. Great interior like a Mach 1 and sequential taillights are very cool!

That will be a sweet ride there THUMPIN455. It like like the Hot Wheels Nitty Gritty Kitty!

I really like the suicide doors too. I would love to have a mid 60s Lincoln. I think they are one sweet looking car.
