hey i really have a problem and i need sum advice on how to fix it. ok soo i have a 66 289 and whenever i turn the key to start it will turn over but never start up. even if you release the key and take it out it will keep turning over!. so what ive found out is that if you tap on the solenoid switch then it will start up. ive replaced the solenoid charged the battery, changed the starter switch, starter coil, any other suggestions on how to fix it? thanks alot. help will be greatly appreicated.

I had a similar problem. It was a faulty starting relay (or what do you guys call it in english). The little black thingie near the battery, mounted on the fender. Replaced it and never had the problem again.
