Rear brake line?
That is what I have been talking about. Looks like yours is broken Soaring. The clamp is still there.

Yeah, that's what I said. My hose is rotted off. I need to replace it before I decide to use Ol' Yeller for a ski boat.
Your vent hose seems to go up into something on your 9 incher. Where does it connect. Also, you definitely need some brake shoes bro.

The brake shoes are good and fat just a little surface rusted. They will work for now. The hose goes into a hole in the chassis by the left shock. See if I can find a pic. It is held in place with a clamp that screws down to the chassis. The hose goes in the top hole and the clamp bolts to the bottom hole

Soaring has the picture of what I am talking about. Since both the left and right brake line screws into it, I assumed it had something to do with the brake lines. But it is connected to a hose that is about 12" long and this hose is tucked into an opening of a steel frame crossmember. Since it wasn't leaking fluid, it makes sense that its just a vent for diffential. thanks for the help.
I went out to the garage to replace the hose this morning, and to my surprise, the hose was still there, just not hooked up. After getting the clamp off, I took it into the shop and pryed the old hose end out of, spread it slightly, then reattached the hose by using the same clamp. So, that was a cost nothing project.
It's not often I have cost nothing projects.
