Default C4 Trans leak

Does anyone know if the rear seal would leak more as you accelerate faster? Does the trans pressure rise on acceleration. I know I have a leak at the seal, and it seems like it leaks more the faster I go, causing the fluid to spread out along the floor panels. This seems to cause it to smoke when it hits the exhaust pipes.

The pressure rises as you accellerate. Sounds like you need to have the rear seal replaced.

Hi Soaring, This happens when I drive while manually shifting from 1st, then 2nd and then drive. I was told it would not hurt the trans by using it like this, but is there a limit as to how high I can run the rpm's up? When I get on it in 1st, and then get into 2nd, the rpmm's may be around 2500 or 3000? Is that too high? I am not really racing or anything, just making her sound nice going down the road.

No, that's not high RPM's for that tranny. You probably just need to replace the rear seal. No biggie....
