Hi,

I'm having problems with connecting an '78 duraspark into my '71 grande.



4 of them where no problem, but the other 2 are (kinda)

I connected the original wire (red/lt.green) on the coil +, and wired the white on it as well.
Now i'm stuck with the red one, it's not conected yet. But the engine spins great. Where do i have to connect this wire to?

If someone has some advice it's sure would be helpfull, on some minor things left we could finally make the first testdrive.

 

Here is a pretty comprehensive article on how to install the duraspark. It looks like the red wire goes to the ballast resistor then to the ignition. Scroll down about half way through the article to see a good diagram.

I get it (partly), i have to connect the red wire between the ignition switch and the ballast resistor. (why btw?)
Leaves me just with two questions, to witch wire on the ignition switch do i put the white one? and witch one is the ballast resistor wire? (colors)
