I know this is off topic, but what the hell, I'm the mod. My boy Jeff Gordon just now won at Chicago. He won two weeks ago too, so he is now back in the top 10.

Too bad he had to win it dirty my spinning Matt out... He would have taken it in any case, there was no need for it.
If you actually saw the race, Matt slowed down in the corner just as Jeff was trying to go underneath. The officials also called it a no foul, so he won it fair and square. Matt was leading by several car lengths, then Jeff caught up to him and gained a lot of ground in a short time, so Matt had mechanical problems, problems that Jeff didn't know about. My boy won fair and square. Yeah, I like Martin too. He just didn't have his car set up right.

Go Dale JR.!!?! *high leg kick*

I never could get into nascar, turning counter-clockwise interferes with my OCD *claps three times*

As much as I hate to admit Jeff did win fair and square Matt did slow down. Im just a roush fan and MM has been the man for many years in my opinion. Its racing the first one across the line wins

Yep, basically that's the rules. The first one over the line wins. However, there are a lot of factors involved. Almost any car has the potential to win whether it be Chevy, Ford, Dodge or whatever. The driver and the crew make the difference. If the car is set up right and the crew at the pit are competent, and the driver is competent, the chances of placing in the top ten increase with these factors. I just like Jeff because I have seen him race in many races over the past few years, and he is not only a competent driver, but a pro as well. Martin is in the same category as far as I am concerned. Both are quality pros.

Thats the great thing about nascar makes for good discussions plenty of brand loyality all and all good southern fun. Plus most of the drivers make better role models that the athletes in other sports. I forget where i read it but someone said " there are only three sports auto racing, bull fighting and mountain climbing every thing else is just a game"

I agree will the Mark Martin fans, spent three years running sovenior trailers on the nascar tour, one year was running the Mark Martin trailer. I always thought highly of him, but after that year I came to believe that he is one of the best the sport has ever seen. I will always have the utmost respect for Mark and his talent and personal caracter.

Fan loyalty is right. I had to give up Tide detergent when they left Ricky Rudd and I had to give up Valvoline when they left Mark Martin. Switched to Casteroil.

I've been a big Jeff Gordon fan for a lot of years... but now a days if it's between Jeff and Tony Stewart, I'd be pulling for Tony just to watch him climb the fence.

Juan Pablo Montoya signed with Chip dont know last name racing. He was an F1 driver, Michy Schumachers only REAL competition. Now hes going to NASCAR. LOL!
I'm European, Mustang and F1 lover. And take it from me .... He's NEVER been competition for Michael Schumacher. Montoya is fast (sometimes) but always f*cks up a good result by a mistake made by him.
