Default A code 67 Cougar

Yeah my Cougar is an A code, the Motors Repair manual I had years ago said it was premium fuel 2v, it had a 2v carb on it when I got it. Always assumed it was originally a 2v.

Now I get the catalog from Mustangs unlimited, and read on here about A codes being 4v engines, but some people say 67 might be different. Okay so to the guru's who know the codes, wtf is my car?

I know it was built in Dearborn on 03 March 67, so its back in its original state, then shipped to LA in California, it was red with black top and interior, auto with 3.00 gears, and had the A code 289. I am pretty sure that engine is no longer in there. It looks like a mid 70s 302. Door tags are fun!

So whats up with the A code in 67? Is it the 4v or the 2v on the Cougars?
