I was planning on removing (professionally) the vinyl top to my 68 coupe. Are there really any issues with doing so?

 

I have never done it, but I have come across cars that have had this done, and really, if its done well, you wont know the difference. Obviously the surface has to be sanded free of all glue and residue after the vinyl is removed. Then have it professionally painted and you should be fine.
