Default Header fit?

My 67 coupe has a 351W currently in it, but no headers. I have a set of longtube equals in my basement somewhere, and just wondering how tight can i get to the shock tower. Ill have to pull them out and test fit, but is like 1/2 inch eneough clearence? Thanks

I also have a set of shorty unequal laying around off an 80's 351, ill try those too..

0.5" clearance is great, unless the shock tower is made of plastic. Less than 0.5" would be acceptable too as long as nothing is touching or melting.

There are a lot of guys who dearly wished they had the luxury of 1/2" clearance. Use the long tubes over the shorties.
