You need to look at Virginia Classic Mustang (if this doesn't work)...they have aluminum overlays for 68s. 67s and 68s instrument panels differ with the wiper switch and turn signal indicators.

Lemme check the catalogs. I saw an alum overlay for '68 in one of them.

I'll check tonight...I am off to the Northwest Roundup with my son.

As I recall the aluminum deluxe dash was not availible in 1968. The 68 deluxe had wood grain. I don't believe you will find one to go one a 68 cluster.

Your recollections are correct. However, this piece is made as a custom item (for whichever parts house) for 68 owners who wanted the deluxe look of the 67s.

Remember, not everyone wants to take the restoration route. This is purely a restomod part.

ok so i got answer back from Unique Performance....this is what they said....

"Shane,

For applicable purposes the dash insert kit for the 1967 and 1968 are identical. This will fit on your cluster. Thanks.."

now im wondering if they are identical because they are all made for 67s and not 68s, or it will just go over the differences and not matter, im guessing the second hopefully.....i dont know, but its interesting.......

what do u guys think?

If you have the dough, and they say it will fit, and they back up their product, then try it. If it doesn't fit, then just return it for a refund.
