I HATE RICERS!!!!!!!!!
My friend has a 68 hardtop with a 302 pushing around 380 hp i believe. He has headers, new intake manifold, hi performace pistons, Gt40 heads (ported i think), 2.5" exhaust, new carb (edelbrock something soon to be changed to a holly something), carb spacer (1" ?) and a few other things i believe. His car is gonna be sweet when it is all fixed up.
Oh yeah, and don't street race. I'm not even 16 yet but I still know not to. Besides the obvious danger of killing yourself, or other innocent people, just ONE ticket can do a lot of damage. Just a speeding ticket will raise your insurance rates tremendously, especially for a male. Then if you get a ticket for reckless driving/street racing... kiss yourself and your car goodbye.

for those of u wondering how i got 400 hp out of a 302 its pretty easy. its a stock block w\ ford racing gt-40 heads. a somewhat aggressive cam. carbourated (demon) edelbrock manifold, high performance pistons. and a stroker crankshaft .a nice engine. Put a ford 9 inch rear, disk brakes and rackand pinion steering. its gotta be a daily driver. (hell on gas) so it goes and its a good looker too. anyone who is my age thinks thats a must. (mostly the compact guys\all show no go) my plan is 2 throw a supercharger or turbo on it and get even more out of it. im gonna start taking races 2 the track also

I don't think there's anything wrong with what your friend did synthetic...that wasn't ricey at all. Rice = More show than go and clearly that's not the case with his integra. The annoying stuff is fake badges and fart cans. It bothers me when Mustang drivers put fake Cobra badges on their car too so I don't think it's a matter of what side your on.

Show us some pics of your car miamiman23, do you have any dyno sheets?

So, does that mean turning a 1968 Mustang Fastback into a Shelby clone by adding stickers, quarter extensions, scoops and a hood is "ricing" it out?

the answer, No. the saem discussion went on there, if you like, go read it, but long story short, and for the last time, "Ricing" means all show and no go. do you expect a normal v6 stang to make anoy more HP by adding a COBRA sticker in the window? no
What about taking a 2003 Mustang GT (V8) and putting the cobra badges, front and rear bumper covers, headlights and hood on it to make it appear to be a Cobra. Granted it doesn't do anything for performance. My point is, alot of people add the shelby deck lids and quarter extensions, etc on 67 and 68s without adding a 428CJ? Do you agree? Does Ricing still apply to those cars? Im not wanting to disagree or argue with you, I just think this is a reasonable question.

Lets call Riply's Believe it or Not
I'm 20, and I'd be surprised if I didnt wreck that car by now. All young people think they know everything and are the badest on the planet, me included, but I realize this so I think it gives me an upper hand
. I am just waiting for life to smack my young a$$ into reality

Me too.

I'm stilll waiting to hear how a 16 year-old built (and keeps from wrecking) a 400 hp small block...
