metal guages

Default metal guages

ok, i found a few places that will have metal, but i ened to know what sizes i should use. im gunna need a little thicker for my frame. what sizes do you all think i need for my floor, wheel well, door, lower quarter and frame?

Some of those vary in size the front frame extensions and rear frame are 14 gauge depending on where you buy what some of the floors are 16 some are 18 same with the wheel wells. From personal experience the thicker the better get all that you can in the 16 it cost a little more but you get what you pay for and remember these uni-bodies are a 1000 pieces with 10,000 welds. 20 and 22 gauge are just too thin. One thing I have been doing is buying the replacement part and cutting out what I need and then using the left overs for scrape and pieces especially floor pans long strong 16 ga more work to cut but worth it.
