Exhaust system
i was looking around for an exhaust system for my 68 and i saw that flowmaster doesnt make a kit for my year, and that eliminates my obvious first choice. does anyone have any suggestions for the best exhuast system? thanks in advance
any custom exhaust shop can do the whole thing for u for like 300 to 400 bucks. they will do watever you want, and make it however you want it to sound. its better too, because every pipe was hand bent for your car so it all fits nicely. id go with dual exhaust. headers, straight pipes, dual masters. itll sound kick ***
gtrplyr52786 is right on track.
Pick out your headers, your mufflers and take them to a muffler shop, they will add the X or H pipe and make the rest. Even the chain muffler shops like midas will work.

When i had mine done i just took it to some small town place around where i live. They did it all on a saturday, charged me about $400, and i went with the cheapest thing they had. But everyone loves it, ive had people from school ask me if they can hear my exaust because they heard it was badass. Good investment i think. I was told flowmasters were way too loud for a mustang because all the sound comes into the car also. They said it would really be annoying.
