Hey, I just got my 3" cowl induction hood, and it has a pretty rough finish. Whats the process for smoothing it out and stuff. Its a pin on hood, so do I want to fit it and mount it first, or clean it up and paint it first?

 

fit it first sand paper will knock out any inperfection

 

Sure, fit it first, but then take it off to sand and paint it.
