yeah i need to change the oil in my 5.0 to 20-50 its gotten so hot just been to lazy to do it! im gonna try and get a 3g alternator and lectric fan from a mark 8 this week for 80 bucks for the 5.0 so i figure i'll do it all at one time and pick up some extra power and better charging all at the same time!!

the 3g off of a lincoln mark 8 is a good upgrade ive been looking for one i found one at the junkyard for 40bucks they are simple to wire in and have about three time the output of the stock vintage one! no more dimming light or pesky voltage regulator!

I have read recently where racing mechanics say to go lighter weight when in doubt. They say that the thinner oils can actually penetrate the small crevices and stuff better than the thicker oils. I have always said run thicker in the summer and thinner in the winter. I believe in synthetics, so I am going to try 10w30 in my 73 351C and see how she runs.
