Hello,
I have a 69 musatng with a high performance 302. The camshaft calls for a 2500 stall converter. I looked under the car at the numbers on the trans to see whether or not it was the stock trans. I know that it is a C4, and the number on it reads- C4AP-7D027-B. This means that trans came from a 64 galaxie if i am correct. I was curious what spline it would be, i know that between 1969 and 1970 the spline changed for the C4, but i am not sure if the 1969 spline and the 1964 spline are the same. I also would need a non locking converter right?
So basically are the 69 C4's and the 64 C4's the same.
