suspension questions?

im going with the original leafs but i want the down hill effect what type of shocks should i get?

No, the long shackels are the poor man's answer to tired leaf springs. In the 70's "cool" kids put them on their Chevelles to give their cars the down-hill effect on their muscle machines.

Think this look:


But instead of big tires and tubbed rear...think narrow short wheels but big long bars protruding from the frame...and the leafs sitting nice and low.

Driver's usually sport mullets.

WHat!? thats not cool anymore??

haha ive always though those things looked horrible and wondered why they were used...i just never though to ask anyone. thanks.

Well, not even that cool. They are designed to raise the rear end, by the cheapest method possible. That is their sole mission in life. The down side is how much deflection they allow, as there is no support to keep things lined up.
All in all, a very poor choice.
