crate engine ideas 450 hp +
Been looking at crate engines for the Mach and came across this. I'm planning on using a TCP manual rack, so no power steering is fine. This engine (or something similar) mated to a Tremec TKO 600 is the plan. The rearend is a 9 inch Currie with 31 spline axles and 3.70 auburn posi I rebuilt already. Sound good or make changes, I'm always open for suggestions.

Try this they are some excellent motors and can save you some money. You can get any intake carb valve covers you want the engine will be custom buit to yout specs.

Dang is that one purdy engine!
Get them to include freight, put a set of good spark plugs in and jet for your altitude, and all in all it's not a bad deal for something fairly plug and play. It would be nice if it came with a dyno sheet though. From what I see they bolt it to a test stand, fire it up set timing and get the carb fairly close. You'll still need to tweek for altitude, and weather conditions, but it will be close enough to start and run for you.
The only thing I would say, is there is nothing like rolling your own! Especially the first one.
Hey, did you check out the video of them running that engine without the headers? Kind of like..."Look mom it glows in the dark". I remember doing stuff like that. it was a heck of a lot of fun!
I just realized you are doing a '69. Way cool! are you going to do the '69 or '70 front lights? Mach, Boss, or...?
The more I see that body style (especially with the '70 headlights), the more I really like that car.
