also ebay has a serious shortage of hubs so your left hunting through stores and quite possibly paying way too much for them. pepboys wanted $100 a PIECE

You guys won't believe this... it's like something from the twilight zone... I recently bought an air impact wrench and have been using it to put my wheels on and off while doing different work on the car. I'm guessing that this MUST have loosened the front drums. I jacked the car up, took off the wheels, backed off the shoe adjusters and got all set for the fight of my life... and DAMN if they didn't just SLIDE RIGHT OFF just like the rears. Now, since I've owned the car, this has NEVER HAPPENED. I even had the drums turned with the hub stuck in place....! But now that I'm talking about it online, and I've ordered replacements, they just came off easy!! This is the LAST item to replace to isolate/cure a high speed vibration problem. I sure hope it works, since putting new drums on the back seemed to move the vibration to the front... I had all 4 drums turned when I bought the car so I could drive it back to my home state. I'm just guessing that they chucked them up slightly off center, causing a fairly hefty shift in the balance. Mind you now, when I spin these drums and tighten the shoes, they always rub IN ONE SPOT as the wheel turns. If everything is centered, it seems the "rub" should be continuous. I sure hope I'm thinking right on this one, since there's just nothing left to fix/change/repair...[X(][X(][X(]

yeah, my drums do that too. It spin for awhile, and then rub, then spin. etc. Your right about replacing the drums. I was talking about, having to take them off for brake work or something. I'd just rather take off the whole assembly. Hey Ebluekeys, your hubs might have been replaced already. I know one of them has been replaced on my car, and the drum slides right off.
