Default Turn Signal Problems

I have the solid steering colum in my coupe, but when I go to make a turn I have to hold the turn signal lever up to make a right. It won't hold itself and doesn't make the indicator on the dash light up, but I can hear the fuse clicking. I was wandering if I need some sort of rebuild kit for it or something just tightened? If I do need a kit what sort?

I wish it were that easy. I've had to change all of the bulbs any way due to it sitting for 2-3 years before I bought it.

oh ok well then it may be your turn signal switch. you will have to get a steering wheel puller to take off the steering wheel. you will also have to order a switch i didnt find any at autozone. when i replaced mine it took about 30 min at the most. not to hard of a job at all.

what you do is first disconnect the battery, remove the horn ring by pressing down on the ring, turn it to the left, and it will pop off. Remove the wheel using a puller. crawl down to the bottom of the column, and cute the wires near the connector, so you have a source of where the new wires go. the cut the wires off of the plate and tape the new wires to the old wires. You now can use the old wires to pull the new wires through the shaft while removing the old ones! Take your time putting in the new wires, and don't mix them up.

you can get a switch from any good Mustang shop. www.mustangcountryintl.com gets their switches from the company that orrigionally made them for Ford

Cool thanks. I'll have to add that to my already overwhelming to be ordered list now. My wife is going to kill me on payday.
