Default fuel injection

How much would it help out my 1968 289 to get it fuel injected? Would there be any down sides other than the cost?

you would be better off pulling a fuel injected 5.0 from a junkyard and putting it in your car

I have the Holley projection system on my 65 289. Throttle responce is awsome compared to any carb I have had on it. Also there is a noticeable MPG improvement. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Have you had any real problems with the fuel injector, do you think it is worth the money that it would cost?

I have been thinking about doing the same thing myself. Has anyone out there done it with a 5.0 parts car? If so what kind of things do I need to know?

I got the system about 9 years ago when they first came out. It was better than sliced bread. I did have one of the injectors stick open about 5 years ago and they both injectors had to be replaced. They didn't make the old style any more. The cost 9 years ago was $500 and the new injectors were $85 togather. other than that, it has worked like a dream.
It costs more today but I still think it is worth it...[sm=smiley20.gif]
