Default stalling 68 mustang

I just bought a 1968 mustang. It keeps stalling out at every stop after I have driven on the freeway. Any idea?

could be fuel related. As the car heats up you could be forming a vapor lock if your fuel line is run too close to the exhaust manifold or if you do not have a spacer between your carb and your manifold. Does it run o.k. on the highway? You won't get the vapor lock on the highway because the fuel is moving too quickly to vaporize. Just a thought, there are some really smart people on this forum who should be able to help you out.

Welcome Scrat...recently had the 67 giving me probs at idle and kept dying. The 40 year old gas tank had quiet abit of rust which the two fuel filters couldn't handle. Replaced the tank, cleaned out the lines, and adjusted the carb idle...working fine now. Might be your prob...got more detail?
