Default 620 coils?

what are the 620 coils some of you guys have mentioned?

are they a direct replacement for the stock coil springs in a 67?

are they stiffer? lower? higher?

They are quite a bit stiffer than stock and GENERALLY 1 inch lower in most cases. You can buy a 1 inch insulator vs. the standard 1/4 inch if you don't want the car to be 1 inch lower. I did 1 inch lowering in front and rear this Spring to my 67 Convertible and went to a car show this weekend. Alot of Mustang owners told me my car looked like it was sagging and needed new springs!!! East coasters just don't get the whole lowering thing...I like the looks of it, but if I'm on even a slight decline, it looks like the back is sagging. as I was lined up next to all the other Mustangs, it was definitely a bit lower. I love the handling though and would not go back to stock. I bought all mine at Mustangs Plus...

It depends on the wheel setup you are running too. When I first got my 17's put on the car, thw 620's actually made the car sit waaay to tall so I had to chop a coil out of them to get the desired ride height (that I wanted). In general though, the 620's provide a stiffer ride and yes about 1 1/2" drop from stock height.

Coil springs are a funny thing as a 620 spring from one manufacture isn't the same as another 620 from someone else.
I run Mustangs Plus's 620 springs and have been happy with them. Their 620 springs lower the car 1" from stock height, but I would say they are not nearly as stiff as some other suppliers.
