Default 1966 Saggy Bottom

I understand that after 40 years of hard life everyones bottom sags a little, but Im looking for some advice on lifting her back up a little.

My tires are scraping on my rims when i go over bumps, swoops, and wooshes. When I have more than just myself in the car, it's really bad. Any experience with this issue? Should i get new leaf springs or go for something more performance, or those air shocks that elevate the car? Thanks a bunch, gang!

The pic is dark, but hopefully you can see what i mean.

You are in need of new leaf springs and shocks. You have a choice of which leaf spings to get though. Standard eye leaves will give you about the factory look, whereas the reverse eye and mid eye will raise and lower your car accordingly. You also have a choice of 4, 4 1/2 or 5 leaves. Of course, the more leaves you add, the stiffer the ride. These cars came with 4 from the factory. Do not get air shocks as they will rip out the area where they hook up behind the seat. Get the gas adjust shocks. KYB makes the best IMO.

Soaring is very correct, except we disagree on shocks, I am not a fan of KYB in any performance car. If you are making it a show and drive car, KYB's are good street shocks

Cool Thanks. KYB will work great since this is a daily driver. I just wasnt sure if those BIG chrome leaf spring things were needed. Sounds like I dont need anything so extreme. Thanks. So maybe 4.5 leafs?

I'll try the pic again.

I would go with standard 4 leafs.
