If you had the roof of a mustang fastback could you fit it on a coupe? what would you need becides the roof?? thanks
Ignoring the trunk lid issue . . .

The roof serves structural purposes, so it's a bit more involved than just cutting off the coupe roof and sticking the fastbackon in its place or cutting and splicing the two together somewhere in the middle of the current roof. If you were to peel back the headliner, you'd see that the roof is more than just a single sort-of-flat panel bent to form the drip rails. I'd rate this conversionas being a job for an experienced bodyman who has done some custom stuff, or at least somebody who is comfortable (and very patient)welding sheetmetal and who also understands load paths and fit-up.

I have seen a slide-show of photos where this job was done.

selenestang dynacorn is going to make a bare shell of a 67 fastback its pricey tho or keep looking on ww2.collectorcartraderonline.com or ebay
I know that this is a price move....my mom had to have the roof replaced on her '69 442 because rust had eaten through the roof and the floorboards of the car. The whole process of just replacing the roof took over a year. The problem for her was finding a replacement roof because she woudn't take anything other than original parts.

As previously stated by others, it is a lengthy and costly process. If you're not going to do it right, don't do it.

It can be done, it has been done, but it shouldn't be done.

Insanity!

Seems that every other month we have someone asking about conversion from coupe to fastback, after reading most of them we already stablish that it can be done with a lot of skill work and money butrespecting everybody's opinion (after all is their car) I like to focus this from another point of view..I don't know about other classic owners but I am never satisfied with the car I own, always is another model, color, engine, tras etc etc, so for me it is alwasy the probability that my car will never be the "last one"..for someone that is going to invest so much money and time to end up with not either a "full" coupe or a fastback the first consideration in my personal opinion is.. what prospect buyer is going to be interested in purchase a car with a coupe ID numbers converted to something that it is not original?..therefore I agree with the others enjoy your coupe save your money (a lot from not doing the conversion) and buy a realy fastback, hope no one get ofended it is only my opinion.
