Default Subframe Connectors ?

I am considering making my own subframe connectors but am having a hard time visualizing how they should look installed. If someone who has them could take a pic or two for me it would help alot. Thanks inadvance.

Subframe connecters should be square tubing with a bracket at each end to be welded or bolted to the frames. I think the normal size tubing is inch and a half. U could make your own, but I dont know if it would be very much cheaper in the long run. They are usually about 100 or less

Well I was going to dissaprove of making your own becuase of the price of steel, but if its for free, HELL YEA! Do you need measurements for the length then?

The steel tubes are 38 1/2's in length and 2 inches wide. The mounting brackets are 2 1/2 inches, adding another 5 to the overall length.

Id say get creative and make you own brackets, it isnt that hard. The front bracket on mine looks like the square tubing with no top, so it just cups around the frame and welds into place. The back bracket is harder to describe...

It isnt vital that it looks exactly like the ones sold. I would just weld together a L bracket and weld it to the end of the tube, thats pretty much the general shape of it.

Edit* Actually, the bolt that enters the eye of your leafspring is in that area, so you cant just make a L bracket...you'd need a L bracket with a slice cut out...This is hard to explain. I think the easiest thing would be to just piddle around with it until its good. Im assuming you have a cutting saw for steel and welder?
