Default rear valance question

I bought an aftermarket repop and the mounts are not working so well. As a matter of fact, the mounts are completely different. Is there a difference between the 67 and 68 the way they bolt to the car? If so, I was sold the wrong valance. Here are some pics.

I have a repop for my 67 and it isnt fitting very well either. I dont know if the previous owner got it wrong too, but its horrible fit. The bolt holes dont line up at all and the bottom edge of the sides laps over the quarter panels.

Mine doesnt have those brackets, so either they are different, or maybe you have like a 66..

It's funny you said that. Mine was the same way before I tore it off. It looked like ****. It almost looked as if the quarters were sucked in too tight at the rear. I thought I was going to have to cut the valance and re-weld it to make it fit. Now I'm not sure. The valance I took off had two studs welded on each side.

Although this will prolly be point less...are you asking about the rear valance or the front? I bought a new front valance made with ford tooling and I also have the stock rear valance for my 67. I could check either and see if their similar to yours and let ya know.
