Pros/Cons on a 67
If you found a 67 convertible that had just been "totally restored" by a team that retrieved the car from Katrina flood and the title says flood, would you buy it? Here's a con - it's been in a flood and, maybe, they missed something important in the restore. Here's a pro - if they restored it right, the flood is an addition to the story of a 40 year old car's survival!! What are your thoughts? I'm also looking for some appraisers in the Jackson, MS and Pensacola/Ft. Walton, FL areas to check out some Mustangs. There are Mustang Clubs though the phone numbers listed are all discontinued in those two areas. All help is greatly appreciated and I look forward to being able to give back over time. Thanks.

As long as it was completly cleaned and restored the flood shouldn't be a problem. I would diffently have an expert look it over before I would buy it though. You never know what corners they cut. What price are they asking
ask to see the photos of the car completely stripped to bare metal and hot tanked.
ask to see pictures of them installing all the new wiring harnesses.
9,999 out of 10,000 you will buy a "cleaned" car. Not a restored car.
Call me pessimistic

Salt water and silt? No. No. And No. Not me, I don't care how cheap it is or how nice it seems.
Prove me mistaken by buying it. Drive it reasonably regularly for about 10 years. What the heck, 5 years.
Then show me that it hasn't fallen absolutely to pieces. Salt water flood cars are ticking time bombs.
Buy one, keep it for a while, then you will believe. They put "FLOOD" permanently on car titles for very good reasons.
