a/c - carb switch
I have a 1971 mach 1 w/351C in it. It has the wiring from the A/C to the carb. I assume that there was once a 12 electric switch that would activate when the A/C was turned on and this switch would kick out , pussing the carb linkage slightly giving it a few more RPM's to maintain a constant idle. Anyone know what this switch looks like as well as where I casn find one? I would even be open to aftermarket switched as well . My ram-air will co
ver it. thanks DM

WOW...You got yourself one rare buggy there! I've never seen a 1071 Mach before, got pictures?[sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]
You're looking for the solenoid that mounts to the carb. I don't have a picture (none of my current cars have this), but it's basically just a solenoid with an exposed plunger. They use a jam nut to adjust the height of the solenoid to vary the 'on' idle speed. You should be able to find one at a resto shop, or an electronics supply store will sell something that works.
