Hey everyone,

I have a question about decals and their placement on the air cleaner for a '66 289 (stock air cleaner with snorkel). I'm seeing a vast variety of configurations from pics on the web. Should this air cleaner have the Autolite spark plug decal? Does it have the "Front" decal on it as well? If so, can someone give me the exact/proper placement of these things. I'm restoring a used one, and have finished painting. Just wondering what decals to get and where to put them. Any help and/or pictures would be great. Thanks!!

I have a 65, but pretty sure it would be the same. I have the "front" sticker along with the 289 and the autolite spark plug sticker on mine. I am pretty certain about the location of the 289 and the autolite spark plug sticker, but really don't see a need from the "front" sticker. It came in a kit package of several decals, and I just put it on without thinking it through. So, I really am not certain about the front sticker.

Hey thanks! I have mine in the same spot now as yours. I also got the decal kit for mine ('66) and there is an air cleaner part number decal, and a "use original fomoco parts" decal that I think go on the air cleaner too. Any ideas on where these go? Thanks anyone!

Thanks for the help guys...it looks like the link to the article about decal placement is bad, though. Anyone know someplace else to get this info?
