Default Overheating problems?

Hi all,

there seem to be quite a few posts about overheating problems. Most recent see Adrian1.

One of the problems of having a classic car is that they often dont get used regularly or sit around for long periods during restoration of one part or another.

When you get the beast going again, the cycling of coolant through the block loosens rust and gunk which blocks the radiator and the heater core...leading to overheating. It is considerably more annoying and expensive if you have replaced the heater core or radiator as part of the resto.

best thing I have used is the filter on the following links...

http://www.midnightdsigns.com/Mustan...%20Filter.html (don't know if website still active)

or

http://www.babymall.com.au/ibm_custom/tefba/index.cfm (a little bit pricey)
