Default RE: Carb Problem??

not only the squirters, the fuel must be flowing in sufficient amounts from the boosters and main sircuits or you will get a lean pop..

If you have changed the cam, intake, headers and other related parts the stock ignition curve isnt going to cut it very well. Often I find my engines with larger cams etc. like more timing especially more initial and a faster curve. The stock curve is a comprimise between power and ease of starting, the factory wanted a smooth idle. Getting the curve more to where the engine likes it can result in better economy and power. If the engine is burning all the fuel and air goin in, then it will make more power, and it will be more efficient. It wont need as much throttle angle to make the same power, thus requiring less fuel..

Without actually being there its hard to figure out what is wrong with it. Often I can just listen to it, look around a bit and find the problem. Cant do that sittin in the study at my computer..
