Default Firewall/Torque Boxes

Finally had some time to start working on the stang again, and have come to the point where i'd sure benefit from you'lls two cents.

Here's what i've got;

They're now tacked in place and I think i've done a fairly decent job of aligning the torque boxes by pre-fitting the lower vent cowling and the firewall, but how can I be more precise on these alignments???

Thanks

Wow! You will have a new car when you are done. There is a list of factory specs on the dimensions. I'm not sure if they cover the cowling and torque boxes. I know they cover the frame rails. There might be something in the FAQ section. I would also check another mustang and measure the width from outside of torque box to outside of torque box. Then measure from a point at the rear of the car to the rear of the torque box. Measure from corner to corner in a X pattern. This is how I would check the car. Make sure it is square or else the body panels will not line up. Trust me on this one. Good Luck. It looks great so far.

Looks like you are doing just fine. Those torque boxes sure look big.

Does anyone know where to get a copy of the factory dimensions for a 67 coupe?

Ya should have measured before you took everything off. I woudnt weld them up just yet, tack everything in place, including the new frame rails and spalsh aprons then see where it sits. You are probably finding out now you need a reference point or everything will be off.. I hope you didnt throw away all the old stuff already.

OKay.. Since the 67 Cougar is up here we can get you dimensions.. Hell check your PMs we are gonna have to do most of this over Email and the phone..
