can anyone give me a diagram to wire a 68....i just put in a new alternator and am adding a solid state voltage regulator...apparently i didnt even have one before...and i just had a RELAY i guess....i dont really get all this electrical stuff now....

bottom line....there is 4 female wires and 4 male terminals on the voltage regulator....i need to know which terminals the 4 wires plug into.....

can i just do some guess and check??? like just move the wires to differnt terminals until it works out???

 

ok...wow...after looking at a bunch of pics of the voltage regulator being under the solenoid...i found out its on the other side of the car for my car....problem solved....

 

I was on the same wild goose chase for a while... glad I wasn't the only one!
So are you still going to replace it with solid state? I just did the gap adjustments on mine and am wondering if it solid state is that much better.

 

i dono, i just found it, had already been told to replace it, so i had it, i put it in in like 2 min and thats that.....
