Default Flowmaster Super 40's?

Has anyone installed these on their first gen in a 2 1/2 inch size and how are they?

I installed them last weekend. I have headers, X-Pipe, 2 1/2", Super 40's and they dump at the axle. Nice rumble in the cab and not to loud outside until you really get on the throttle. The X-Pipe makes a noticable difference IMO. I plan to dynomat the interior so I think once that is done I will barely hear the exhaust inside the car. I'm happy with the set up so far and I think it sounds sweet.

Just FYI, I ordered my flowmasters off of Ebay. I paid $75 a piece and the shop I took my car to charges $200 a piece.

Thanks, I'm going to get them from Summit. They have them for $79 each.

Oh ya...................I have a 68 mustang with a 302. I have an ok cam in the sucker. I was playing around the other day and turned the idle down and I swear I could hear each cylinder fire one by one. My wife thinks I'm a little crazy.

Man they made a pretty penny off you. My father ownes a shop and he can do all the piping, cats(if u want), dual flows, and tips...the hole shabang..for 350. And thats making a nice profit. Exhaust shops rip everyone.

From what I know about them, there both suppose to be the same except for the resonance (lack of) with the super 40's. I'm just trying to find out how loud they are.. I have flows now but, not sure which ones (last owner installed them).

I paid $350 total for the install. $200 at the shop and $150 for the mufflers off ebay. I'm no sucker. Trust me.
