Default Wheel Spacing Question

Looking to put some newer 17" rims on my 68 Mustang. What is the size spacers needed for the front and rear. Will 1.5 on the front and 1 inch on the back work? Front of car has been lowered 1 inch as well. Could I go with 1 inch on the front as well? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I would be very hesitant about putting any spacer thicker than 1/2 inch on a classic Mustang. The pressure you will exert to especially the rear lug bolts will increase dramatically with the addition of extra length to the lug bolts.

Soaring. Thanks. Do most classic mustang owners only use the 1/2 in on the front or do both the front and back? Bascially I am going to put some 2006 GT rims and tires on it.

the backspace on the rims dictates what spacer, if any... you need
