hey guys i have stock ~2.8 gears and i was looking at 3.55, 3.4, 3.8... what ring and pinion do you guys think would be best with a t5...I need a little more pick up off the line but i also do alot of freeway driving to school.

3.50's are decent and nicely priced...

I would go with the 3:55's because they are a good all around gear set. That's what I have..

I've got 3.55's with a T5z (2.95 first and .63 O.D.). I like the gearing. It runs about 1800 at 65mph with a 25.7" rear tire. Spaces 1st through 4th really nice. For an engine that makes the majority of it's torque from 2,000-4,000 rpm, I think it is a good match up. If your torque band is higher in the rev range or narrow towards the 3Krpm range, I'd opt for 3.77s.

I'd run 3.80 or 4.10 with an OD tranny. Which one depends on your power band and tire height.
