Up on stands. (My frame rails must be in pretty good shape)

40 year old tranny fluid.



The intake manifold I am using. (I will also use a .5 or 1 inch spacer and the intake will be port matched.

Yeah, get those stands under the rear axle and under the crossmember under the motor. Those frame rails are a weak spot to have them.

 

Put the jack stand in the rear under the rear end housing, make sure you put a piece of 1/2 (minimum) between the Jack stands and the frame rails. Then you're good to go..

I moved the jack stands last night.

I was really suprised when I started looking for rust. It looks like the mud the car was sitting in coated the bottom and kept oxygen away. The bottom really doesn't have much of a rust problem.

I will change the oil pan gasket next weekend, then I need to save some money for front discs.
