Default Engine swap

I'm looking at buying a 66 mustang and it has an inline 6 in it. I was wondering what engine would all fit into it? Any way to cram a 351 in there?

Yes you can fit a 351. But I think it's only the Windzor. Also, if you put a 351w in there you might need to get a colw induction hood because the hight of the block is taller then a 289/302.

I have a 65 coupe with a 92 GT 5.0L and a 88 AOD.

Works great, but go all the way and add dick breaks and other modern enhancements.

- cheers

In case you're interested there's a shock tower
notching kit available already so you can fit bigger
engines into classic early Mustangs.
You can see the whole range of products at http://www.rrs-online.com

Yes you can fit a 351W, not a 351C,in there and under a stock hood. You will have to stary with a Edelbrock Peformer or W. Stealth intake though. But I hope you understand that going from an I6 to a V8 takes a lot more then just the engine. You will also have to get astronger tranny, differental, suspension all the way around, and change from 4 lug wheels to 5. It is also a good idea to get some disk in the front...you will have to change for the 5 lug so why not convert to disks. Be ready to laid down some big $$$.

There's a 'new topic' button at the top of the topic list.

What 'non-stock' engine are you thinking about trying to fit in a '66?
