window regulators
Several weeks ago I replaced my driver's side door regulator. It was very easy to do. It is amazing that just a small chip in one of the original rollers will hender the operation and function of rolling up the window. I used to have to pull up on the glass and roll it up at the same time. After taking out the original regulator, I cleaned the old tracks and lightly greased the rollers with white grease. The old tracks had old grease that was hardened like old putty. I used brakeclean and a brass wire brush and still had a difficult time. After all was said and done the window operates like it did back when it was new. It is amazing how nice it is.
Now the rear quarter windows are a different story. You need to be a thinker to get these done. Not to discourage anyone but this might be difficult for some. If you start and have problems don't cuss me. Of course the back seat and inside panel must come out. I decided to take the entire window assembly out for cleaning. I had to separate the window and the window track base plate(?). The window came out first then the track base plate. All of this must come out of the window slot. The track base plate is the piece that is bolted to the quarter panel inside. The regulator can come out from the side. I again had to clean the old grease from the tracks. I de-greased the original regulator and re-greased it with white grease. I used compressed air to blow the grease into the areas that I couldn't get to. The problem I had with the rear window was not the regulator but one of the rollers was missing off the window itself. The window has two roller, front and rear, to keep it straight and upright when you roll it up. I purchased the plate and the window off e-bay for $35. After figuring out how to re-install the assembly it was well worth it. My rear quarter window operates flawlessly. Take your time and remember all the disassembly steps as you will need to reverse the process when reassembling. Take pics if neccessary or make notes. When doing this it would be a good time to re-align your windows so they roll up and fit correctly. Good luck!
Pics of rear window regulator after degreasing and track base plate. Right side of base plate track is cleaned and left is the old dried grease that will make your window hard to roll up.

idk, i think the rear quarter being able to roll down and not be there gives to the muscle car feel.
yeah your year looks better with it down, even the fastbacks.. I just dont want to deal with it again. I fought those things for two years when I was 16-18 and I am not fighting anymore. lol..
67 A code, its going back to red after I redo all the body work this winter, and installing the 4V probably with a C4 for now, an AOD later. Its orignal color was red, and it has far less rust than the mustang. Only two spots to fix, even the cowl is perfect.. Gotta love california cars.. Its not going to have the 1/4 windows workin.. just the way i want it is all. not that i cant fix them, I just dont want to deal with it..lol.

those arent old tires.. They are the fronts for the drag car when its on the street.. On the track it has Weld Skinnys.. Those are high dollar Enkei wheels.. but the wheelborrow, well that is not a high dollar unit.. its holding a bunch of crap from the Mustang teardown that we havent gotten to the dumpster.. The dumpster is 7 miles away FYI...
We dont care about the weeds, the snow plows usually remove them for us each year. You shouyld see all the boats around here.. popeye would feel right at home, its very nautical... the boats arent mine, they are the father in laws. I live at the storage place..lol..
