Default 1966 Steering Help?

Hi everyone. I have a conv 1966 mustang that I have been restoring slowly over the past year. I need to replace the steering cylinder, bushings and hoses now. I called around for prices and the end price for parts is about $200 bucks. Now here is my question. My friend has a steering cylinder for a 67, 68 mustang. He said if it fits I can use it. I asked around but I get mixed answers. Some people say the part will work and others say the 66 is different from the 67. Does anyone know the answer to this? If I can use the cylinder from the 67, it will save me about 150 bucks. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Steve

usually a parts house will know which parts are interchangeable. Try calling Mustang Mania and talk to Stuart or Russell 1-888-302-3703
