I like blue.. a light metallic blue... mmm tasty but not correct for a Ford... All my engines get painted that color now.. some cars too. its purdy..

Here is the correct 1965 engine color. If you have a blue one, then someone didn't do enough research before they painted it blue.

To suck in air. And, to restrict the amount of cold air with a damper inside the snorkle, so that when it is cold outside, and the engine is cold, not so much cold air gets into the carb. That's why there is a vacuum tube hooked up to it, to slowly open the spring loaded damper as the engine warms up. You can get by without it by using an aftermarket air cleaner where air is sucked into the carb from all directions, but will cause you to have to wait a few minutes before driving it without stumbling. Remember, this was 40 something years ago when EFI had not yet been invented, and I don't know if I explained this very well. It's passed this old man's bedtime. Night all.

The fuel vapor thing is what I was trying to relate to you.

You have a 69 so yours should be blue. However, the 65's were gold. Now, regarding jewelry, would you rather have a gold necklace, or a blue topaz necklace?
