Now you are making sense. I have often wondered what folks with two different size tires did when they had a flat. Carry two spares? The rear end is not going to like two different sizes for very long, and the front will be a bear to handle.
i actually had that misfortune i have 195/60/R14 front and 225/70/R14 in the rear and one day after school i hit a pothole and blew my right front out and not only was it bad but i also didnt have a spare in my car at all nor a jack or a 4 way or the right lugs for the spare so wut did i do i called my mom up and told her and she went to the house got the spare the jack the 4 way and bought som lugs and i changed the tire and had to drive it home that way and to school, now my spare is a almost as big as my rear tires and it made one hell of a difference while trying to steer that, the next day and part of the way home cause my mom had dropped the rim at the tire shop cause we had road hazard insurance on the tires and i had to go by after school that day and have it put on and the funny thing was they didnt have anyone there who knew how to drive a stick so i had to pull it into the bay for them

and they put the tire on the rim the wrong way so now it doesnt match the rest of my tires

As long as the front and rear have simliar OD you carry a spare that fits the front.
Well as long as it is a short drive, no problem. There is a reason why the manufacturers of the skinny temporary tires say they are for temporary use only. I would hate to see a guy destroy his rear because he was running different sized tires on the rear for more than a short period.
