unfortunately, it will cost you a donor car and a good grinder or plasma cutter.....and a skilled welder. Best bet is to find a salvage yard and get hunting.

I have to agree with the others, if you want to repair it right you will need a new roof. Have you considered a vinyl top? That is the only way to patch it and have it look good IMHO.

i did not know classics had sun roofs.... learn something new every day..
they dont and should never, someone butchered his roof for a tacky add on
Not familiar with the old Cougars are you? [&:]

Also, if I was in your case and couldn't live with the sunroof...i'd consider...wait a second [flame suit] ... I'd consider cutting the roof off and making / have made a custom cover to cover the back seat area (like a tonneau) and turn it in to a two-seater. I think it'd be sweet.. That is if you're wanting to go for the restomod.

i think mustangs plus makes a ronster kit w/a cover that will convert it into a two seater, doesn't look too bad either. Ohhhhh you could cut out the top and put all glass up there, panaramic[8D]

I dont know the sentimental value you have w/your car but id get crazy, since you will have to cut a the pillars for a donor roof why not make a custom removable hard-top convertable....that's TV camera worthy at carshows

no one is gonna fix it! we wouldnt touch it at our shop! short of a roof replacement is your only option if u want it stock, the heat required to weld it all the way across will warp the ss$% out of it honestly i would put the sunroof back in sell the car to someone who will appreciate the sun and buy a different car. or if u feel the repair is justified go for a roof swap figure about 1500$ plus the roof rough guestimate id have to look up the labor on the job i would imagine its quite high
