does anyone know what the two small rods are and what they are for that come with an edelbrock performer-plus cam and lifter kit for a 289? thanks

Yes I have, but never seen any rods come with a cam kit - you should consider contacting edlebrock.

I am doing the installation right now and I don't have two rods. My kit came with the lifters, camshaft and lube. Definitely go on the edelbrock website and check it out.
